Senior Executive - Accounts Payable (Bonded Warehouse)

Job Summary

The Senior Executive – Accounts Payable will be responsible for end-to-end invoice verification, accounting, and payment processing related to the bonded warehouse operations. The role involves detailed scrutiny of vendor invoices for rebate, transaction, and labor charges, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements, and maintaining accurate financial records.

 

Key Responsibilities

    • Verify and validate vendor invoices related to rebate, transportation, and labor charges as per agreed terms and supporting documents.
    • Cross-check invoice values with approved rate contracts, work orders, or service agreements and billable amounts.
    • Ensure invoices are supported by valid GRNs, approvals, and statutory compliance documents.
    • Identify discrepancies and coordinate with concerned departments for resolution.
    • Book invoices in Tally/ERP system under correct cost heads and vendor codes.
    • Prepare vendor payment proposals and ensure timely disbursement as per due dates.
    • Process TDS and other statutory deductions in compliance with GST and income tax laws.
    • Maintain detailed records of rebate-related transactions and verify rebate computation accuracy.
    • Conduct monthly vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
    • Assist in preparing AP-related MIS reports for management review.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and accounting standards.
    • Support month-end closing activities including accruals and provisions.

Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: B.Com/M.Com/MBA (Finance) or equivalent
    • Experience: 3-6 years in Accounts Payable, preferably in logistics, bonded warehouses or CFS operations.

Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Tally ERP/SAP/any accounting ERP
    • Good understanding of GST, TDS and other statutory compliances
    • Strong Excel and analytical skills
