Senior Executive - Accounts Payable (Bonded Warehouse)

Job Summary
The Costing Manager will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling container-wise and service-wise costing for CFS, Bonded Warehouse, and Logistics operations. The role focuses on preparing cost per container, performing daily cost and revenue analysis, and ensuring accurate capture of all operational costs in the system to enable actual cost vs revenue comparison. The incumbent will work closely with the Operations and Finance teams to drive profitability, cost optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain container-wise and service-wise costing models for CFS, bonded warehouse, and logistics operations.
- Prepare cost per container and analyse variance against standard and budgeted costs.
- Perform daily cost and revenue analysis, highlighting deviations and improvement areas.
- Ensure accurate capture of all cost elements (handling, transportation, labour, equipment, utilities, etc.) into ERP/system.
- Coordinate with Operations team to identify, validate, and book all operational costs on a real-time basis.
- Generate actual cost vs revenue comparison reports and present insights to management.
- Analyse profitability by customer, contract, route, and service line.
- Monitor and control operational costs, recommending corrective actions where required.
- Support pricing, quotation, and tender submissions with accurate cost data.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
- Continuously improve costing processes, systems, and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA Finance / B.Com / M.Com (Costing background preferred)
- 6–10 years of experience in costing, preferably in CFS, logistics, port operations, shipping, or warehousing
- Strong understanding of logistics cost structures and container operations
- Experience with ERP systems and costing modules (Tracker, Tally, etc.)
